We enjoyed our stay at Liberty Inn. It was clean and quaint. Great location, just park the car and stroll the town. I forgot my hair dryer and thete wasn't one in the room, but Nicole was able to direct me to one...didn't have to buy a new one...thanks!

I've had the pleasure of staying at Liberty Inn by the Lake twice during summer weeks while my children attended Camp of the Woods, and both experiences were absolutely wonderful. The owners' attention to detail truly sets this place apart - from the moment you arrive, you can tell they genuinely care about creating a comfortable and welcoming environment for their guests. The inn is located by the lake and perfect for a peaceful getaway. Every aspect of my stays felt thoughtfully considered, making it easy to relax and unwind after busy days with camp activities. A huge bonus is the walkable proximity to Lemon Tree Brewery down the street - their craft beers and ciders are excellent, and it's such a treat to be able to stroll over for a drink in the evening. The combination of the inn's comfort and the local brewery makes for an ideal Adirondack experience. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again and highly recommend Liberty Inn by the Lake to anyone looking for quality accommodations in Speculator. The owners have created something truly special here!

We adore the Liberty Inn! Everything from the location in a breathtaking lake town, to the comfort and hospitality of a lovely stay. We’ve stayed multiple times at the Inn and have always been treated like family, truly an unmatched experience. The host and staff truly care for you to have an enjoyable stay and have created such a welcoming place to find rest. The rooms are always clean and comfortable, we enjoy the front porch and patio area along with the proximity to lake, food and shopping! There were also games available for our family to enjoy! We’ll be back ;)
Liberty inn is the best place to stay in the Adirondacks and Nicole is the best host in the Adirondacks. The atmosphere and historic charm is unmatched.
Nicole is a very polite, professional, accommodating owner. She has a Keurig coffee machine in the lobby area 24/7 along with books if you like to read, board games or just sit in 1 of the many comfortable chairs and relax. Which by the way you can do on the large front porch. This Inn is within walking distance to the beach, coffee/bakeries, ice cream, pizza, gas station market and even the supermarket. There is a great bakery/coffee/food place directly next door! Would absolutely stay here again!
My sister and I spent the night at Liberty Inn by the Lake recently and it was a great time. Our great-grandfather had built the hotel in 1923 (then Graham’s Hotel) and ran it until 1963 (the year I was born). We were thrilled to be able to stay there. Nicole, our hostess, was just a doll and has done a wonderful job with the rooms. It’s got a very cozy feeling and the décor is delightful, just lovely touches all around. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would certainly recommend going for a night or two, just to be able to have coffee on the porch in the morning and watch the world go by. Even if it hadn’t been in our family at one time, it would have been and was a delightful stay. The only thing that would have made it better was if some of the family that had once lived there had come and haunted us a hello!
